Radon Testing

Radon testing – Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that comes from decomposing uranium in the earth. Radon is so common, that some estimate (including InterNACHI) that up to 60% of our radiation exposure in life comes from radon. That being said, radon also causes lung cancer and other issues in higher concentrations. So what does that mean for you? It means that radon testing is important! Having your home professionally tested for radon by a qualified tester, such as myself, reduces your health risks. Radon Testing is important if you live in Woodbridge, Annandale, Bristow, or any other area of Virginia.

So how does our radon testing work? We deploy two types of radon gas measurement devices. One is a continuous radon monitor that provides single test results averaging over a time period of at least 48 hours.

2nd is a short term ION chamber measurement system. When using this system we deploy two radon chambers side by side for a minimum of 48 hours. We then have each chamber analyzed and then both tests are average together.

For Real Estate transactions we can have results and reports read within 1 hour of retrieving the measurement/test devices.
